Time Lapse Video of Cyclorama (Seamless Cove) Construction
This is a time lapse video of me (yes, I built it myself, when I weighed 40 pounds more than I do now) constructing the Cyclorama
(Seamless Cove) in my studio. The cove is 24'x24' and is 13' high. The ceiling is actually 16', but the rafters obstruct the height.
Only at the end did I have some help from my assistant at the time Alyce. Alyce also was the model for the First Light shoot
after we finished painting the cove. The original goal of the shoot was to get a marketing photo of a car on the stage. I originally
wanted to use a Lamborghini, but ran into some problems getting the $250k car. So we used a VW Bug instead. Although not seen
in these images, A lighting grid is installed at 14'. The working open floor space is 30'x45', with an additional 15'x20' available
in the rear for storage and prop construction.
